Group Hospital and Home Care Recovery insurance provides a cash benefit for up to $1,000 per hospital stay and up to $4,000 each year for home care recovery. As an APWU member, you can buy this insurance at an exclusively priced rate. Although your rate will remain constant, the annual home recovery benefit will reduce to $2,000 at age 80.

Acceptance is guaranteed for eligible APWU members. Both you and your spouse may be eligible for this valuable protection. There's no medical exam or health questions, only one short application to fill out.

APWU members under age 75 and their lawful spouses or domestic partners are eligible. PSEs, Retirees and Associates are also eligible to apply.

Benefits are as follows: 1-14 consecutive days $300 lump sum payment, 15-30 consecutive days $650 lump sum payment, 31 or more consecutive days $1,000 lump sum payment. Once discharged with a home health care plan you are eligible to receive $100/day for up to 20 days for covered services.
